Nutrition Consultant
All Regions

You are a qualified nutrition professional with a deep understanding of how athletes fuel, recover and grow — and you know what makes hockey different.
About you
As a Nutrition Advisor with Hockey Horizons, you will guide players and their families through the daily realities of eating for performance. Hockey players eat in rinks, on buses, in billet homes and between early practices and late games. You will draw on your credentials and your experience with athletes to build plans that work inside those constraints, not in spite of them.
What you'll do
You will be part of the support team that consists of fitness, mental performance, nutrition and academic experts, who will assist in developing each client to their maximum potential.
You will work with the player's hockey advisor and fitness advisor so that fueling, training and development are aligned rather than working against each other.
You will help players and families navigate the practical problems — game-day eating, travel and tournament schedules, billet kitchens, cafeteria food, and healthy weight gain for players moving up a level.
You will advise on hydration, recovery and supplementation, including what players must avoid to remain eligible under NCAA and anti-doping rules.
You will be a resource for your clients, providing guidance via email, telephone, text and other communication platforms.
Part of the position requires you to periodically blog about an aspect of nutrition that may be beneficial to our site followers.
